Application:
- High-Temperature Resistance: Used in the production of refractory bricks and linings for furnaces, kilns, and other high-temperature environments.
- Chemical Stability: It is resistant to corrosion by basic slags and molten metals, making it valuable in steelmaking and non-ferrous metal industries.
- Forsterite is used in the manufacture of high-performance ceramics, glass manufacturing.

- It has a high melting point (about 1,800°C), making it ideal for use in steel and iron manufacturing - lining for furnaces, kilns, steel mills, and other high-temperature industrial processes
- Used as a raw material in ceramics , glass industries and as an advanced material in aerospace engineering
- Due to high resistance to wear and high temperatures also makes it useful in the foundry industry, where it is used as a mold material, especially in the casting of metals that require high heat resistance.
